Universitas Sulawesi Tenggara has a symbol that form and  a meaning are described below:

• The circular pentagon refers to Pancasila as the national philosophical foundation of Indonesia.

• The three upright, grey limbs of a pen symbolize education and professionalism as a realization of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi.

• At the base of the limbs is a water spring/fountain in dark blue symbolizing the source of life.

• The yellow wheel encircling water spring symbolizes a determination to work and build.

• The Yellow rice and white-green cotton symbolizes welfare.
